LITURGICAL MINISTRY
Liturgical ministry is an excellent opportunity to fulfill your baptismal call of service to one another. Our liturgies should utilize the talents and gifts that God has given this community to the fullest extent. Whether participation is through “behind the scenes” preparation and planning, or through a public role of service within the Mass, parishioner contributions help our liturgies to be truly life-giving celebrations.
Do you feel called to Liturgical Ministry? If so, please click here for more information and an application form. We have special need for Eucharistic Ministers, Readers and Altar Servers.
FIRST FRIDAY ADORATION
To continue the Adoration of the Eucharist on the First Friday, it is necessary that someone be present with the Eucharist at the time it is exposed. We need volunteers to fulfill this need from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Please contact the Parish Office if you would like to enjoy a spiritually rewarding hour.
GROCERY GIFT CARDS NEEDED
We are in need of grocery gift cards to help Mount Olive families. You are invited to put a grocery store gift card in the collection basket any weekend, or you can drop the card off at the Parish Office during office hours.
JUNIORS HELPING SENIORS
The Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey’s Juniors Helping Seniors program provides high school students with a flexible, rewarding volunteer opportunity, and senior citizens with a break from the social isolation that often comes from living alone or being homebound. Volunteers are matched with senior citizens in Morris County who could benefit from a friendly visitor. Volunteers will visit on a regular basis and participate in activities such as playing board games, arts and crafts projects and reading. For more information, please contact Rachel Enderle, Volunteer Coordinator, at 973-451-4128 or [email protected].
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL 6100 ORGAN DONOR PROGRAM
The Knights of Columbus Council 6100 and the Donate Life Organizations are conducting an “Organ Donor” Drive. Did you know that:
Please take a few minutes to visit website: www.registerme.org/knights and fill out the simple information. The Gospel speaks of giving Alms. What a beautiful gift your registering to be an Organ Donor would be!
Our Lord reminds us of the abundant blessings that come from a generous heart. “Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.” When you give your time, talent and financial resources to our parish, it strengthens our faith community in so many wonderful ways!
Did you know that there are also opportunities to make a legacy gift to our Saint Jude Parish that will touch the lives of parishioners for generations to come? Please prayerfully consider remembering our parish in your will and estate plans. For more information, call our parish at 973-691-1561, Ext. 13 for further assistance and to discuss options that might work for you. Thank you so much for all you do for Saint Jude Church – now and in the future!
CHILDREN ARE PRECIOUS
Children are most precious gifts from God. Foster and adoptive parents (Resource Families) help children who have endured more than most could possibly imagine. You can show them the love and support a family can give each other. Would you consider sharing your love with a child very much in need of love by becoming a foster parent? If so, call 1-877-653-6783 or contact Catholic Charities at 973-279-7100 Ext. 38.

Volunteers also help enhance the child’s life skills.
